A generous human being is the one who gives up will, ego, and desires for the good of the other.Poverty of Mind: It means giving up one’s own will and fulfilling the greater will. It is surrendering oneself totally placing complete trust in God. In other words, it is finding greater satisfaction by being with God.
Poverty of Heart: It means not so much giving up of material things. It calls for giving up one’s own ego and clothing the heart with generosity, love, mercy, compassion, kindness and sensitivity.
Poverty of Body: It means giving up attachment and love for single person and embracing all the people irrespective of who and what they are, and committing yourself with your body sheltered with love for their welfare and development. It is losing the love of one person for the Love of many people.
In this write up, poverty simply means giving up.
