In Search of God

The life of human being is always a search for something. Thus, he/she can be termed as ‘Searching Being’. The search begins at the moment of birth and continues constantly till the death. Among many other things of search, human being constantly searches for God. The search for God consists in two steps: 1) the Mark of God in the creation or prakrti 2) the mark of God within.
The Mark of God in the Universe: The mark of God in the universe is visible, changing, transient and temporary. In other words, the mark of God is found in everything in the world and is considered sacred and worshipped as a reflection of God. For example worshipping of earth, water, fire, plants and sun etc., this step is very much portrayed in the sacred scriptures of all religions.
The Mark of God Within: The second step in search of God is to find the mark of God within that is invisible, unchanging, undetectable, indistinguishable and ever remaining. In other words, it is looking for God within. It is searching God at the core of the heart of one’s own self. It is worshipping the self as the reflection of God.
